COAL MAN: THE CYCLE OF MATERIAL PAIN

A cycle of material pain, beginning on the top right and going clockwise, starting with the house that Coleman grew up in, with its attending symbols of guilt and sex leading to his funeral and burial in the cemetery across the street. The headstones have been changed so that they represent Coleman’s heroes and comrades, people he respects and alongside of whom he would have himself buried. All of them went to Hell.
